The Technion Center of Excellence in Environmental Health and Exposure Science

EHF has awarded the Technion a grant for the establishment of the Technion Center of Excellence in Environmental Health and Exposure Sciences.
The Center’s activities include:

  • Exposure to and health impacts of traffic related air pollutants in urban areas
  • Cognitive and neurophysiological health effects from exposure to agricultural pollutants in children and adults
  • Exposure to pollutants in the indoor microenvironment, particularly tobacco smoke
  • Development of tools and databases to assess exposure to uni and multi airborne pollutants

EHF University Centers of Excellence develop a range of research and non-research-based activities that are designed to advance the field of Environment and Health. They explore new scientific methods, create new knowledge, and share information with the scientific community and the general public.

Dr. Jeremy Sarnat, Assistant Prof. at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, will serve as an advisor to the center. Dr. Sarnat specializes in characterizing human exposure to urban air pollution.

To the announcement in Ha'aretz.
