The EHF Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program assists young scientists pursue advanced training and research in Environment and Health, develop a broad perspective and an inter-disciplinary approach, and contribute to scientific excellence in this field upon their return to Israel.
EHF has two calls annually for applications, one with a spring deadline and one with a winter deadline. For the academic year 2012-2013, EHF will award up to four post-doctoral fellowships to PhD graduates and MDs joining research groups at leading departments and institutions in Europe and the US for continued research in environment and health.
Proposed research fields are:
- Environmental Epidemiology
- Exposure Assessment and Biomonitoring
- Environmental Toxicology
- Gene-environment interactions
- Environmental Health - Risk Analysis, Perception and Communication, Impact Assessment, Economics and Policy
Research projects should relate to the impact of environmental hazards and health effects such as: cardiovascular and respiratory disease, autoimmune diseases, cognitive function and development, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and reproductive health.

EHF awards fellowships of $40,000, along with an additional travel grant and family allowance.

Winter submission timetable:
- The Application form and supporting documents must be submitted to EHF no later than April 16, 2012.
- Notification of awards will be made at the beginning of July, 2012.
