Environmental Pollution and Disease Trends in Israel: What We Know, What We don't Know, What We Should Know (2008)

The first annual conference of EHF took place on June 2, 2008, With Some 400 participants: professionals and lay people, scientists and representatives of NGOs and more. Lectures were given by experts on air, water and soil pollution, and radiation along with medical and public health researchers dealing with cancer, respiratory illness, birth defects and more.

 

Conference guests

  • Prof. Paul Wilkinson, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, expert in environmental epidemiology, studies the health effects of traffic related pollution on public health in England
  • Prof. Baruch Fischhoff, Carnegie Mellon University, a world renowned expert in risk communication, member of the FDA in the field of risk management.
